Given the continuing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing visa processing and program challenges, it is crucial to continue engaging with key congressional offices.
As a follow up to meetings held on Advocacy Day, the Alliance facilitates Exchange Week in the District. While we continue to advocate in our nation’s capital, we collectively build on these efforts by engaging Members of Congress in their home state and district offices. This year's Exchange Week in the District will take place May 31 - June 3, when both the House and Senate are in recess so that Members can meet with constituents back home.
While we originally provided two Exchange Week options to allow our members increased flexibility, we understand that many of our members prefer the second Exchange Week during May 31 - June 3. Given that, we have decided to shift our focus to that week.
We encourage you to contribute to this effort by organizing meetings in your local offices and by incorporating your participants, employers, and host families to promote international exchange programs.
